I developed a keen interest in health and nutrition back in high school.

I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science (majoring in Foods and Nutrition) at the University of Western Ontario in London.

  • After that I completed a one year Dietetic Internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

This background enabled me to practice and become a Registered Dietitian which is a regulated health profession.

After having a private nutrition counseling practice for 20 years, I’ve now combined my passion and interest in helping people achieve a healthier lifestyle by honing my skills as a professional health coach so I can help and motivate my clients to the next level.

I’ve been interested in nutrition and helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle since my teenage years – and it continues to be a passion of mine.

It’s wonderful to combine my food and nutrition expertise and coaching to help people to be the best they can be.

My personal Motto is: Helping you achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Work Experience

I’ve been in private practice for over 24 years assisting and helping clients live healthier lives. Honing my skills further as a Health Coach has enriched my clients’ lives as we work on much more than eating habits!
Over the years, I’ve noticed that many of my clients really struggled with emotional eating. They knew what to eat, but couldn’t find a balance that helped them achieve their goals. This realization led me to find the Craving ChangeTM program and I became a Certified Craving ChangeTM Facilitator. I have discovered this is hugely popular with my clients so I have incorporated this program into my coaching packages.
I struggled with helping clients who were suffering from a myriad of digestive symptoms – I knew there must be something more I could do. This led me to finding the Mediator Release Test and Immunocalm diet protocol. Now as a Certified Leap Therapist I have the expertise to really help people FEEL so much better! (often after many many years of suffering).

Areas of Specialization

My focus is on helping people change their eating behaviour one step at a time. Many of my clients have been on numerous diets, and have finally realized that dieting doesn’t work. I especially enjoy those who are ready to embark on their new healthy lifestyle as I assist them in changing “what they want” – so they no longer have to deal with cravings and actually like their new way of living! It is truly rewarding to me when my clients tell me that things now taste too sweet, salty or simply that they “don’t want them” anymore.

As a Certified Craving Change TM Facilitator, clients are empowered to learn by experience what triggers and beliefs they have and then develop strategies to improve their relationship with food.

In addition, as a Certified Leap Therapist, clients can be assured they are getting the best customized anti-inflammatory plan for helping them with their food sensitivities. This is effective for those struggling with unmanageable symptoms resulting from Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Migraines where conventional therapies are simply not working. The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is the first stage of this lab-directed elimination diet and immunocalm lifestyle plan.

Personal Information

My pride and joy are my two grown children – a son and daughter both flourishing in their early careers after graduating from university. I love “walking my talk” by eating well myself and keeping active in both winter and summer activities. I love tennis, golf, gardening and going for walks with my dog Boomer – and Australian Shepherd/Poodle cross (an Aussiedoodle).
I devote many spare hours volunteering for the Markham Stouffville Hospital gala.  I also have enjoyed many hours in the past,  volunteering  for the Unionville Tennis Club as past executive and past president.

I have a passion for tennis, golf and doing anything active outdoors. I love skiing, snowshoeing in the winter, and walking my dog anytime of the year. I enjoy going to the gym, trying new classes like Zumba and TRX training, yoga, and pilates.

I love spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book or going to a movie and always love a nice bubble bath after a day of skiing on the slopes!
